Shannon Meeker was born and partly raised in Isla Vista, California, where the B of A was burned in 1970. Select memories from childhood include Tipi Village, fields of fennel, tar covered bare feet, Borsodi's Coffeehouse, tons of street theater, and the mystery and potential contained within record stores. Overlighting it all was this idea that things were being done differently, as they had never been done before. Her grown-ups were Renegades; they strove to be their own heroes!
Now she honors that courageous quality of life by making clothes to Adventure in. Clothes you can wear to Neverland, if you choose.
Shannon lives where there is plenty of Wild Spirit, on the border of the twilight world. She unschools her children, loves her husband, raises animals and perennials, and still she finds time to make all the stuff on this site!
