How long will it take to you to ship my order?
Your order will be shipped 1-3 business days after I receive your payment. I will notify you by email when it has gone out.


How do you process my payment?
I use Paypal to handle all credit card payments. I do accept money orders as well. Personal checks will be accepted, but the order will not be shipped until the check has cleared.

What method do you use to ship?
I ship all domestic (U.S.) orders USPS with Delivery Confirmation. The exceptions to this are the very small items such as pins or chokers, which will be sent first class with Delivery Confirmation to save on shipping. All international orders, including orders to Canada, are sent USPS Global Priority. Domestic shipping charges are included in all purchase prices. International orders will add $5 to all prices listed.
International customers, please contact me to purchase. I do apologize for this inconvienience.
The United States Postal Service is known to periodically lose items. If you do not receive your item from me, and the Post Office insists that they delivered it, contact me and I will arrange to reship or refund.


How does your sizing run?
I came up with this sizing system on my own, as I could not find standard sizing info anywhere. Please look at the lettered sizes as guidelines, and refer to the actual measurements on the product page. Knowing your measurements is the best way to tell if the item you buy will fit you. Without further ado, here are the sizing tables:

What if I want to return an item?
If for some reason you are not satisfied with an item you have received from five gallon bucket, please contact me immediately upon receipt of said item, and we can arrange for a refund. Any returns need to be shipped back to me within 4 business days of the original delivery and must be received by me in perfect unworn condition.

Can I place a custom order?
Currently I am not taking any new custom orders, unless you live within actual fitting distance and are willing to pay lots of money for me to spend loads of time giving you special treatment! If you like the five gallon bucket style but don't see anything in your style/color, my best advice to you is sign up for my updates newsletter and you will be among the first to see the new additions to the shop. Privacy Policy
Any information you submit to me directly via email or through your shopping cart is guarded with the utmost care and ferocity by my dog Jip until your order is completely processed and received by you, at which time I delete all information pertaining to you. The only way I keep your email address is if you sign up for my updates newsletter. Please note that I never share or sell my mailing list with anybody, not even my pals. My shopping cart (which is a Mal's e cart) and all credit card orders go through secure pages so that your information is encrypted. You know you can tell which pages are secure because the address starts with "https". The "s" stands for secure.

and lastly, how did you come up with the name five gallon bucket?
Well, we were sitting around on the porch at the Paddle Ranch one night, trying to help Kent find a name for his band. Someone suggested "Five Gallon Bucket," and while I was all for it, he passed it by. I filed it away and when I started up this venture I knew that was what it had to be. It represents resourcefulness. To paraphrase Joel Salatin, "without the five gallon bucket, this farming venture wouldn't even be possible." (don't sue me, Joel. I don't know if you put paraphrases in quotation marks.)
